Welcome to "The House of Noods," the eclectic and delightfully offbeat home of Jolly and Aldwin and their beloved pets—a Russian Blue cat named Noodle, a West Highland Terrier named Soba, and a fighting fish called Sotanghon. Their cozy yet bold space represents their shared vision for a home that prioritizes unique design, comfort, and a pet-friendly atmosphere. The House of Noods is a testament to the power of thoughtful space planning and creative expression.
A Layered Style That Defies Definition
Stepping into the House of Noods is an experience of contrasts and layers. “Our style is eclectic industrial,” Jolly explains. “It’s got the bones of industrial design with brick, glass, and metal, but it borrows from brutalist, maximalist, and even mid-century influences.” From the open-brick walls to a visually rich tapestry of textures, the house features everything from coarse, rugged surfaces to soft, plush furniture. Despite the mix, the elements blend seamlessly, creating a cozy and welcoming environment that resonates with warmth.
Personalized Spaces for Living, Hosting, and Entertaining
The 156-square-meter space includes three bedrooms, one of which was transformed into a multifunctional home office and entertainment space. Known for their hospitality, Jolly and Aldwin wanted a welcoming wall adorned with Polaroids capturing moments with over 100 friends and family members who have visited over the past 10 months. This feature serves as a personal touch and an ongoing gallery of cherished memories.
In the living room, a striking sofa serves as the centerpiece. Originally designed to feature a high-end Mario Bellini sofa, practicality (and their pets) called for an alternative. The final choice was a distinctive orange “Monay” couch—named for its loaf-like appearance when viewed from above—that was custom-crafted and found at a local furniture exhibit. Paired with their bar cabinet, the space combines elegance with functionality, catering to Aldwin’s penchant for mixing drinks.
Artistic Touches and Statement Pieces
Art plays a significant role in the House of Noods. A 5x5 commissioned piece by artist Cocoi Base anchors the living room, its hues are matched serendipitously by a coordinating rug, adding depth to the room. Pieces by other local artists, including Carl Modelo and Jessie Camacho, decorate various rooms, creating a gallery-like quality in the space that speaks to the couple’s burgeoning interest in art collecting.
Each room has a personality of its own. The powder room, for instance, was designed as a “world within a world.” Featuring an underwater fantasy theme with deep-sea-inspired wallpaper and tiles that evoke the shimmer of light on water, the space is both luxurious and whimsical. “This is the room that gets the most attention on social media,” Jolly shares. Complete with a backlit mirror and pedestal sink, it’s as functional as it is selfie-ready.
A Functional and Fashionable Kitchen
An open kitchen layout was essential for Jolly and Aldwin, who love to entertain. Their kitchen, the first room designed, is styled in blue-green tones with a cement coffered ceiling that adds an industrial yet refined touch. The focal point is a range hood that lends a clean, impactful look. The seamless flow between the kitchen, dining, and living areas ensures guests always feel included, no matter where they are.

Unique Solutions for Pet Care and Everyday Living
Understanding the need for practicality in a pet-friendly home, Jolly and Aldwin included thoughtful touches for their fur family. A dedicated grooming area, featuring a custom stainless-steel tub, allows for convenient pet care without mess. In the living room and kitchen, power tracks with adjustable outlets provide easy access for appliances while keeping cords tucked away and secure from curious paws.
A Multimedia Sanctuary and Space for Passions
One of the couple’s favorite spots is their converted third bedroom, which serves as a den, game room, and hobby space. Here, Aldwin’s collection of nostalgic memorabilia—including a talking Sorting Hat and board games—finds a place, while an arcade machine adds an element of fun for guests. “It’s a hobby space but also an extension of our living room,” they say, highlighting how each corner reflects their shared interests.
The Star Wars-inspired bedroom and a Clever Master Suite
The primary bedroom, affectionately dubbed the "Star Wars Room," includes collectibles like a Kenneth Cobonpue Imperial chair and a Mars Rock side table. These otherworldly pieces provide a playful yet elegant interpretation of their favorite sci-fi series. In the adjacent master bathroom, a double vanity and a tub with a stunning view complete the suite, which captures a perfect balance of luxury and everyday functionality.

A Smart and Sustainable Home
Beyond aesthetics, the House of Noods is tech-forward and sustainable, featuring a smart home hub that allows Jolly and Aldwin to control everything from the lights to the privacy film in the home office with the press of a button. It’s not just about convenience but about creating an adaptable space that suits their daily rhythms and the needs of their pets.
An Inspired Approach to Home Design
For Jolly and Aldwin, home is more than just a place to live. Their space represents a balance of functionality, personality, and connection—to their community, to their shared interests, and to their pets. The House of Noods reflects their journey together and is an evolving space that adapts as they do. As they continue to collect art, gather memories, and invite friends to fill their wall of Polaroids, this house grows richer, embodying their vibrant and inclusive spirit.
In Aldwin’s words, "We just want to make sure that it's a warm cozy place to stay." And for anyone stepping into the House of Noods, that feeling is undeniable.
