Rumor, Acrylic Painting On Canvas

This acrylic painting on canvas is by Dennis Puzon. Dennis Puzon (b. 1995) was born in Davao City. He first studied Fine Arts at the Ford Academy of the Arts (2012-2014) before he transferred to the University of Mindanao where he graduated in 2018. Among his mentors at the Ford Academy include Banjo Satorre, Glenn Baga, Magtanggol Cadayona, and Jimmy Ang.

Rogelito Cayas Jr., Dominador Pamisa, Alynnah Macla Tadeo and Victor Dumaguing are his mentors at the University of Mindanao. Puzon was included among the semi-finalists of the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence in 2015 and 2017. He also emerged as a finalist in the 49th Shell National Students Art Competition in 2016. Puzon’s engagements include group exhibitions at the Art Atelier of Museo Dabawenyo and other local arts and culture events.

Some of his exhibitions include “In Retrospect” at Art Portal Gallery for Contemporary Art Davao (2018), “Configure” in Art for Space and Urban Chic Galleries in San Pablo, Laguna (2018), and “At the Precipice” in Abreeza Mall, Davao (2019).

His works were also well received in “Art Blast: Young Bloods and Young Hearts” hosted by Art Asia Gallery (2019) and “Kaleidoscope” for the Design Week Philippines at the Manila Peninsula Hotel (2019). His most recent acrylic painting on canvas exhibits include “Unraveling Bettina: The Rise of Pop Surrealism from Underground to Mainstream” at the new Arte Bettina Gallery (2019), and “The River Flows North” hosted by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts at NCCA Gallery in Intramuros, Manila (2019).
