3. Apply wall decals in a surface that is: free of dust and grease, smooth, free of silicone and oil-based paints, and without latex residue.
   
4. If your wall paint is new, wait at least 1-2 months for the paint to cure completely before applying wall decals.
5. The ideal paint finish is glossy/semi-glossy.
