Description

Inspired by the stunning natural colorations of a robin's egg, this cerulean and brown salt-glazed Cielo Serving Dish II is a beautiful minimalist ceramic piece. Designed to be wider and shallow, this generously sized serveware can be used for several courses like salad, soup, and mains.

About the Artist

Celebrated craftsman Ugu (Augusto) Bigyan creates ceramic art at his own potter's garden in Tiaong, Quezon. Self-taught in pottery, Ugu gets inspiration from nature.

His medium is clay, the raw material for his terracotta bricks, chimes, vases, wall decors, ceramics and various works of arts. His nature-inspired art pieces find their way in the souvenir shops and rooms of posh resorts like Amanpulo, El Nido, Boracay Shangri-la and Crimson Hotel. Queen Sirikit of Thailand even invited him twice to showcase his craft to the Thai people in a royal art festival.
